This week, the WOW Performing Arts Center was abuzz with energy and excitement as it hosted an extraordinary Industry Bootcamp Session featuring the phenomenal Natarsha Kinder-Garcia. Known for her work as the Artistic Director of AGI, a company famous for "Creating Stars," Natarsha brought her expertise and passion to inspire and accelerate the success of both kids and adults in the entertainment industry.
The WOW Performing Arts Center (The PAC), a non-profit 501c3 organization, has long been a beacon of hope and opportunity for aspiring artists in Columbia, South Carolina. The PAC provides a safe, secure, and positive environment where students can express themselves and see their stories come to life through the performing arts. This week's bootcamp was another shining example of their commitment to fostering creativity, discipline, and drive.
Natarsha Garcia, along with her partner and husband Craig Garcia, encouraged participants to reach their full potential as future stars. They provided insights into various aspects of the entertainment industry, including social media content, TV pitches, showcases, play productions, music recordings, and videos. The session culminated in a live audition, giving participants the opportunity to perform in front of AGI and showcase their talents.
Natarsha emphasized the importance of creativity, discipline, and drive—core values that AGI and WOW Performing Arts Center strive to exemplify daily. Her inspirational approach left a lasting impact on all attendees, proving once again that with hard work and dedication, dreams can become a reality. Many of AGI’s clients have graced TV screens, film sets, Broadway stages, and other mainstream media, thanks to the unwavering support and guidance provided by their trainers according to their website.
Under the passionate leadership of Tangie Beaty, WOW PAC has been a cornerstone of the Midlands arts community since its inception in 2017. Tangie, who founded Walking on Water Productions in Norwalk, CT, in 2005, has built a company that produces original inspirational productions. Her mission is to empower individuals, rebuild family values, effect change, encourage the lost, and restore self-esteem through the performing arts.
WOW PAC’s impressive track record includes performing stage plays, improv, and dinner theaters across nine cities and three states. With almost 1,200 actors directed and 125 performances held, WOW has reached over 26,000 audience members. The company’s dedication to excellence has earned them numerous accolades, including nominations and awards from the Black Arts Jazz & Film Best Theatre Company in Atlanta and the Kingdomwood Christian Film Festival according to their website.
