The esteemed winners receive opportunities that could propel them to national success, gaining exposure to artists, photographers, and journalists who can elevate their brands beyond local recognition.

The Grand Finale took place on Saturday, June 8th, at the South Carolina fairgrounds to great acclaim. Hosted by the esteemed Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford, the event provided the biggest runway experience in Columbia, and all the models knocked them dead on the runway. The passion and fierceness they exhibited on the runway were both inspiring and mesmerizing. Adding to the evening's allure, Naida Rutherford, a fashionista in her own right, chose classic silhouettes and colors that complemented her complexion and added a pop of excitement throughout the event. Her charismatic spirit provided a warm and welcoming experience for all attendees, including playful moments with well-dressed onlookers.

While Columbia isn't particularly known for its trendy fashion, it is celebrated for its culinary offerings and museums. However, fashion is quickly gaining prominence, thanks to Columbia Fashion Week. Behind the scenes, photographers, industry professionals, and dedicated students—such as those led by J Reshawn Colter, Celebrity Stylist and Instructor at the Paul Mitchell Studio—worked tirelessly, preparing models for the runway with enthusiasm and professionalism. This event offers a well-deserved platform for future creators in both digital and physical spaces. Columbia is fortunate to have innovators pushing the envelope and creating opportunities for the many talented individuals who call it home.
